| Sheer Horizontal Shades
Extraordinarily beautiful window treatments, sheer horizontal blinds, also known as window shadings are fabric panels or slats suspended horizontally between two sheer fabric facings. Window shadings offer the functionality of standard horizontal blinds, while the sheer fabric brings the soft beauty of sheer drapes.
Sheer fabric allows full exterior visibility, the warmth of filtered light and reduced glare when shadings are fully lowered and open. Full privacy or room darkening effects can be achieved when the solid fabric slats are tilted closed.
The shadings completely disappear into the headrail when fully raised and are now available in 2", 3" and 4" vane size. A sophisticated color palette including soft textural weaves affords over 100 design options. Hunter Douglas "Silhouette" is the most popular manufacturer of this type of soft shade, although other fabricators make a similar product.
